Due to the death of Series Editor Jon Tribble, the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry is currently on hiatus for 2021.

We will let readers and writers of poetry know when we resume accepting manuscripts for publication consideration via the First Book and Open Competitions.

We miss Jon's leadership and attentive care, his wisdom and humor, and his vast knowledge of poetics and literary publishing.  We know that he would want you to send your manuscripts out though, so please support the many small, independent, and university presses accepting poetry manuscripts for submission. Jon was always pleased when a manuscript sent to the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry was accepted for book publication, whether it was with us or with another press.
